CLASS DESCRIPTION & ATTIRE
Little Movers
Music, movement, balance and the basic dance steps and tumbling skills are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. Activities constantly change to hold onto those short attention spans! They perform 1 dance in the spring recital.

Students are required to wear black leotards, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Tiny Tots
Students will learn the basics of dance in ballet, tap, and tumbling, in a more structured class environment. Proper technique is taught through creative dances and imagination, helping them grow in developmentally appropriate skills. They will perform 2 dances in the spring recital.

They are required to wear black leotards, black ballet skirts, and pink tights. Both Ballet and Tap shoes should be brought to each class. Hair should be pulled away from the face and neck. No jewelry allowed.

Minis
Students will review the basics in ballet, and tap, as well as learning a new style of dance jazz. Proper dance terminology will be introduced and reviewed each class time. They will perform 3 dances in the spring recital.

They are required to wear black or burgundy leotards, black or burgundy skirts, and pink tights. Both Ballet and Tap shoes should be brought to each class. Hair should be pulled away from the face and neck. No jewelry allowed.

Beginners

Students will review basics of tap while learning new technique for tap, and learning new styles of dance... lyrical, and jazz/musical theatre. Musical Theatre is introduced to students to show the students how portray different characters and emotions while dancing. They will perform 3 dances in the pring recital.

Students are required to wear black or burgundy leotards, black or burgundy shorts, and convertible tan tights. They will be required to bring both tan jazz shoes and slip on tap shoes. Hair must be pulled away from the face and off the neck. No jewelry allowed.
Intermediate
Students will review technique for Lyrical, Tap, Jazz/Musical Theatre, while learn new technique in all forms of dance. Musical Theatre will be introduced to students to show the students how to portray different characters and emotions while dancing. They will perform 3 dances in the spring recital.

Students are required to wear black or burgundy leotards, black or burgundy shorts, and convertible tan tights. They will be required to bring both tan jazz shoes and slip on tap shoes. Hair must be pulled away from the face and off the neck. No jewelry allowed.

Advance
This is a combination class including the review of lyrical, jazz, and musical theatre dance style, while introducing more challenging steps. This class will also introduce the basics of a new dance style, modern. This class will be performing at least 3 dances in the spring recital.

Students are required to wear burgundy or black leotards, black or burgundy capris/shorts, convertible tan tights, and tan jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled away from the face and off the neck. No jewelry allowed.
Elite
This is a combination class reviewing skills and technique from past classes, all well as learn more advanced steps and movement. This class will perform at least 3 dances in the spring recital.

Students are required to wear black or burgundy leotards, black or burgundy capris/ shorts, convertible tan tights, and tan jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled away from the face and off the neck.
No jewelry allowed.


Ballet I
Ballet II
Ballet is the basic structure for all other dance forms. Learning the basics of ballet will give a great foundation for a dancer to use when learning other dance styles. Ballet focuses on teaching dancers balance, proper body alignment and placement, along with precision of every movement. Students will work at the barre and in the center of floor. Combinations will be taught to challenge the dancers on what they are learning each week, as well as the proper terminology for each movement.

Students are required to wear black or burgundy leotards with black or burgundy ballet skirts. Hair must be pulled up out of the face and off the neck in a ponytail or bun. Students must have their ballet slippers for class for both Ballet I and II. Ballet II students may bring Pointe shoes to class after receiving permission from the instructor.

Contemporary
This class will combine technique learned from jazz, ballet, and modern, as well as challenging the students to connect emotionally with the music and tell a story with their body. Dancers will focus on learning to control their movements, flexibility, and expressing themselves through improvisation
​
Students are required to wear black or burgundy leotards with black/burgundy dance shorts or capris. Hair must be pulled up out of the face and off the neck in a ponytail or bun. No shoes are to be used for this dance class, as bare feet are common for this dance style.


Hip Hop I

Hip Hop III
(ages 5-7)

These classes will teach basic rhythm and coordination in an energized class environment combining different styles of dance, while allowing each dancer to put their own personality into the dance choreography. Dancers will learn to let loose in the movements and feel the music, while still maintaining control.

Students are required to wear class leotard and class shorts/ capris. T-shirts are also allowed over leotards for hip hop classes only. Tennis Shoes are also recommended for class. No flipflops or sandals allowed. Hair must be pulled up out of the face and off the neck in a ponytail or bun.
Tumbling A
Tumbling B

These classes will focus on teaching student’s importance of technique and core strength, while striving to improve each students flexibility, coordination, control, and tumbling skills.

Students are placed in the class that best suits their needs and ability, and the level they are at on a personal growth. Our Tumbling Instructors strive to provide a safe and encouraging environment and allow all students to grow at their on pace.
​
Students are required to wear class leotard and shorts/ capris. T-shirts are not allowed. Students must be barefoot. Hair must be pulled up out of the face and off the neck in a ponytail or bun.
